The Criminal Code of the African Union shall be responsible for administering the criminal standards, conditions of and operations of the all criminal law, whereas the Judicial Code shall be responsible for the conditions, procedures and rules of judicial procedure in relation to such Criminal matters. |

The Judicial Code depends in part upon the Criminal Code in the fair operation of general criminal standards and penalties as a way of reducing the incidence and risk of anti-social, criminal and adversarial behaviour. |
|
| |
Similarly, the Criminal Code in part depends upon the just operation of the Judicial Code in establishing the procedure for cases of criminal law brought before the Courts. |
