A plea is simply an answer to a indictment claim at arraignment in response to a criminal charge, whether they are guilty or not guilty.

Plea at Arraignment or in presence of magistrate if arraignment waivered |
|
| |
All plea's must be completed in the presence of a magistrate or judge at the time of the arraignment upon a case being found to answer, or if a level 2 charge or below, in front of the magistrate after the charges against a person have been presented. |
